Born in Brazil and based in the UK, Rafael started playing the piano at age 5, studying classical music until the age of 15 before moving on to different genres and having his first connections with jazz/pop/soul in the local music scene. After participating and winning for two years in a row (2006 and 2007) in a significant national music talent festival/contest (“Revele seu Talento”) in his home country, started to receive offers to perform in national tours alongside big names in the Brazilian popular music scene, accumulating significant session experience, both on stage and studio recordings. Shortly after that, Rafael received a few offers to work abroad, and ended up moving to Europe where he accumulated more than 10 years of experience in the Cruise Ship industry as a piano bar entertainer. Quickly stood out by becoming a known name in the field, managing to premiere a few highly anticipated vessels in some of the biggest Cruise Lines in the World. All these years in the industry have made it possible for him to build a very strong repertoire where he can confidently run a full on “request based” show, interacting and involving his audience into a warm and fun singing along atmosphere. Currently based in Birmingham since 2020, continues to build strongly on his act in the local scene being present in some of the highest rated music venues in the region where he makes use of his multi instrumentalist skills (vocals, piano, guitar, drums and bass).
All of these elements and vast history of experience make Rafael Nannetti a World Class performer, capable of combining entertainment, technique, elegance and professionalism, whether he is needed as a session musician (live performances or recordings) or as an entertainer as well.
